Summary:
Responsible for reviewing, monitoring and processing loan applications as well as all activities associated with credit and collection process of receivables within established guidelines by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
1.
Monitors accounts receivable summary for delinquency through related reports on a regular basis.
2.
Initiates appropriate collection activity via past due notices, telephone and other correspondence with customer.
3.
Negotiates payment terms with customers in accordance with established guidelines to minimize potential legal action or repossession.
4.
Notifies customers of non-sufficient fund checks, arranges for an alternative method of payment and assesses charges to accounts.
5.
Researches and provides documentation on credit accounts as requested to include current financial information and credit reports.
6.
Creates and maintains proper response letters on computer for various incoming correspondence.
7.
Receives and responds to collection and credit related inquiries in a prompt manner.
8.
Door knocks or chases accounts when needed.
9.
Performs re-marketing repossessions.
10.
Verifies loan and credit documentation and verification has been received to include:
two recent pay stubs for each applicant; applicant(s) signature on all pages of application; employment and income verification; proof of insurance; ODL; six references to include:
name, address, phone number and relationship to borrower; landlord name and phone number; photocopy of phone bill; and any other documentation as it pertains to each individual file.
11.
Enters application information accurately into the computer.
12.
Submits loan applications to appropriate buyer.
13.
Makes copies of loan packages as necessary.
14.
Reviews and follows up conditions of loan applications to verify conditions are met.
15.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Prior loan processing or related experience required.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic Microsoft Office Suite.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
