Edmonds, WA Edmonds, WA Full-time Full-time $16 - $26 an hour $16 - $26 an hour 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago The Trike Stop Childcare Center and Preschool in Edmonds, WA is a family owned and operated, fully licensed childcare center and preschool offering care to 129 children ages 6 weeks old - 6 years old.
We have found success through offering lower than required ratios in every classroom, small group sizes and employing ECE professionals.
We want our teachers to be experienced (licensed childcare facility), educated (ECE credits), be passionate about young children, have a good understanding of the WAC and be reliable & dependable.
We pay a competitive hourly wage of $16 - $24 an hour based on experience and education.
We are full to capacity and can not accommodate staff children at this time One Year Old Lead Teacher.
Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
Our toddler program consists on 14 students and 3 full time teachers making it just under a 1:
5 teacher to student ratio.
All applicants should have experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting as well as but not limited to:
Lesson planning (circle time, small & large motor, music & movement, sensory), creating an age/developmentally appropriate curriculum, diaper changing, food service, indoor & outdoor play, engaging with the children at floor and table play, a good understanding of age appropriate activities and vocabulary, great communication (both verbally & electronically) with co-workers/management/parents, positive redirection techniques and be reliable & dependable.
One Year Old Assistant Teacher:
Monday - Friday, 8:
45 am - 5:
45 pm.
The position includes but not limited to:
parent & staff communication, partnering with co-workers to create a positive environment, diaper changes, meal service, daily documentation for each child, very light cleaning and must be able to lift 40
lbs & move from sitting on the ground to standing quickly.
Assistants must take direction well, be willing and eager to learn and follow very detailed rules and procedures.
Kindergarten Readiness Assistant Teacher:
Monday - Friday, 9 am - 6 pm.
This classroom consists of 19 five/six year old children and two teachers, a Lead & an Assistant.
An assistants role is to provide support to the Lead Teacher as they aid in carrying out weekly lesson plans rich with indoor/outdoor play, art, music and movement, sensory, circle time, meal service light cleaning, etc.
Applicants should genuinely love children, come ready to have fun and play alongside the children.
Floating/Support Teacher:
Monday - Friday, shift TBD.
The position includes but not limited to:

Required certificates and trainings:
CPR & First Aid certified, HIV & AIDS training, negative TB Test, STARS basic 30, MERIT portable background check, Safe Sleep Certification, DCYF training video certifications and current food handlers card.
Lead teacher candidates must be enrolled in ECE courses and actively working towards certification.
Our teachers work full time and we NEVER send teachers home early.
All full time Trike employees can rely on a guaranteed 40 hours a week and overtime is periodically available but never required.
