1970 HEMI Superbird VIN RM23ROA for sale in Edmonds, WA
1970 HEMI Superbird VIN RM23ROA181256The history of this rare 1970 HEMI Superbird in the owner own words:
In 1982 I was lucky enough to buy this 1970 Hemi.
4-speed Superbird.
I am the 2nd owner.
The 1st owner was Charles Knoll.
He had 2-440 powered Superbirds and desired a Hemi Superbird.
This car was a Chrysler Executive car out of Texas.
When the Executive got his 1971 model car this one became available through the Race Drivers Program.
A local Hemi race driver made the arrangements to get the car from Chrysler and sell it to Mr.
Knoll.
Mr.
Knoll had passed away and I purchased the car from his brother who was handling the estate.
When I received the car.
it had a 1967 Hemi in it as the original engine ended up with a crack in the oil galley and was deemed not repairable at the time.
There was also a 727 auto in the car when I got it as Mr.
Knoll was a diabetic and had lost his left.
